Putrajaya – The highest number of overnight COVID-19 infection recoveries in the country was recorded today with 1,029 cases, taking the tally to 27,409 recovered cases so far.
New COVID-19 cases, however, remained at four digits, although there was a slight drop with 1,168 cases reported, with active cases now at 11,666.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all the new cases were local transmissions.
“Sabah continues to report the highest number of new infections with 616 cases, followed by Selangor (247), Labuan (104), Negeri Sembilan (68), Perak (37) and Kuala Lumpur (28).
“Sarawak reported 25 cases, followed by Penang (18), Kedah (15), Johor (five), Terengganu (three) and Melaka (two cases),” he said at a media conference on COVID-19 developments at the Health Ministry (MOH) today. – Bernama
