Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia recorded 1,360 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday (March 25), taking the national tally to 338,168.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah posted on Twitter that Selangor recorded the highest increase out of all states with 356 new cases.
Sarawak has the second highest figure with 308 new cases, followed by Johor (129 cases) and Penang (113).
Kuala Lumpur recorded 98 new infections.
The Health Ministry also reported two new Covid-19 deaths, pushing Malaysia’s death toll up to 1,248.
Another 1,491 patients were discharged from treatment, bringing the total number of recoveries to 322,416 or 95.3% of all cases.
There are now 14,504 active cases nationwide.
Of that total, 157 are currently under intensive care, with 72 of them requiring ventilator support. – The Star
