Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia recorded 1,671 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday (March 20), says the Health Ministry.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor has the most number of new cases with 652, followed by Penang (328) and Sarawak (154).
He also said that Perlis had recorded no new infections on Saturday. added that of the 1,448 new cases, 10 were imported while the rest were local transmissions.
In total, Malaysia has recorded 331,713 Covid-19 cases.
Currently, 151 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 72 of them requiring ventilator support. – The Star
