Covid-19: 1,745 new cases, 7 deaths

Kuala Lumpur- Malaysia’ new Covid-19 cases rose slightly today, a day before the movement control order will be lifted for all remaining states, but remained below the 2,000-mark with 1,745 new infections reported.

This brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 infections detected locally to 305,880 cases.

A tweet by the Ministry of Health included that seven more deaths were recorded over the last day, bringing the country’s Covid-19 death toll to 1,148 Covid-19 to date.

Numbers of new Covid-19 infections have so far hovered below the 2,000-case mark in the three days of March, with restrictions set to ease across the country beginning Friday. – Malay Mail
