Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia reported 19,631 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the total number of infections now stands at 1,444,270.
Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 16,468 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 1,179,046.
There are now 252,147 active cases, with 1,054 patients being treated in intensive care and 525 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 293 deaths take the number of fatalities past the 13,000 mark to 13,077.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 5,753.
