Kuala Lumpur – The number of Covid-19 cases dipped slightly to 8,574 on Monday (July 12), after several days with numbers crossing the 9,000 mark, tweeted the Health Ministry.
This brings the cumulative number of cases to 844,870.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also tweeted that Selangor continued to record the highest number of cases with 4,308
In the same 24-hour period, there were also 102 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6, 260.
There were also 5, 041 recoveries, which means 747, 338 have recovered from the disease nationwide since the outbreak started early last year.
There are currently 964 patients in intensive care units (ICU) with 452 requiring ventilatory support.
