Petaling Jaya – The Malaysia reported a record high of 9,353 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. tweeted the Health Ministry on Saturday.
This surpassed the previous high of 9,180 cases on Friday (July 9), which went past the 9,020 cases recorded on May 29.
Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 4,277.
In the same 24-hour period, there were 87 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,067.
There were also 5,910 recoveries, which means 737,103 have recovered from the disease nationwide.
There are still 959 patients in intensive care units, with 451 requiring ventilation support.
