Kuala Lumpur, 5 July 2021- The past months has been a tumultuous one with the country facing the resurgence of Covid-19 pandemic.
During this trying time, Trustee of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Devasthanam Kuala Lumpur, Dato N. Sivakumar fondly known as DSK has performed his role as a fellow samaritan for Malaysians especially the underprivileged.
Recently, he handed out 100 lunch packs each day continuously for almost a month to folks in Klang Valley. The lunch pack consisting of rice, chicken or fish gravy, vegetables was sumptuous and able to satisfy hunger.
Besides this DSK has also handed out assistance to students, single mothers and jobless.
“I’m doing my part and I’m happy for at least to have eased ones hunger, even for a meal. As Mother Teresa said, “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one,” he said.
“I thank the people’s representatives in respective areas who reached out to me for the lunch packs. I’ve done groceries distribution to over 500 families during the previous lockdown. I’m glad I’m that I’m able to assist the underprivileged and needy,” Sivakumar added.
He urged the public to stay at home and adhere to the nationwide movement control order.
“Let us all prioritise our loved ones and own safety by being disciplined and obeying all instructions set by the National Security Council,” he stressed.
“I thank team DSK members who stood by my side and carried out swiftly all the proposed activities. Their team work has been the catalyst for the success of this lunch pack distribution,” said Sivakumar.
