Kuala Lumpur- The Maha Mariamman Temple Devasthanam Trustee, Dato Sivakumar Nadraja expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Minister of Defence Dato Sri Ismail Sabri, Federal Teritorries Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa and National Unity Minister Datuk Halimah for approving the chariot procession from Mahamariamman Temple, Jalan Bandar, Kuala Lumpur to Batu Caves on 27th January and return from Batu Caves to Kuala Lumpur on 29th January.
“I also greatly appreciate our Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan who stood firm with his support from the very beginning of this journey. Wouldnt have reached a good result if it wasn’t for him.”
“Thanking our MIC President, Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran’s support throughout this whole journey as well. His support & well wishes kept us stronger to reach our goal,” he added.
“Tan Sri Datuk R. Nadrajah is an exemplary of a great leader. He didnt give up looking at all the hateful comments, he didnt give up looking at all the unnecessary accusations, he didnt give up despite many told him to not proceed with the procession. He fought for the minority and he was right.”
“All our hard work paid off! Despite all the unnecessary groups that went against us to stop the procession and despite all the negative comments thrown at the Management, Tan Sri Datuk R. Nadrajah and the Committee Members didnt give up on requesting permission to carry on with the Procession,” said Siva.
