Kuala Lumpur 30 October’21- The Malaysian Council of Hindu Temples and Hindu Associations and Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Dhevasthanam has expressed its gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister YAB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakob, the Honorable Minister of Finance YB Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz and government for allocating RM145 million for implementing programmes to empower the socio-economy of the Indian community.
Further to this another RM50 million allocated for repairs, maintanance and small development of houses of worship.
“It’s my sincere hope that the above allocations will be utilised wisely to a better community,” said Tan Sri Datuk R. Nadarajah, President of Malaysian Council for Hindu Temples and Hindu Associations. and Chairman of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Dhevasthanam.
“It’s also my sincere hope that all houses of worship who are in need, will be able apply for the fund allocated for the specific purpose mentioned above.”
Definitely this allocation is indeed a much needed boost to the Indian community during this critical time.
“I would again like to extend a warm thank you to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister,” said Tan Sri R. Nadarajah.
